What a weekend..

Hello all, we hope your weekend was wonderful! We were lucky enough to get away from our computers and do a couple shows over the weekend. First was Sunday night at Chocolate Fest, a Stükenberg staple each year, Kyle was able to be with the band as well as we treated the crowd to some songs from The Silo Project.

We would also like to say hello to all our new followers from Chocolate Fest. Our good friend Steve Stark was out working the crowd handing out fliers, so a special shout out to Steve!

Finally on Monday we went to the Skies Fall Media Group (http://www.skiesfall.com/) sponsored festival Compass: North

along with Stükenberg we got to listen to some great music. Hayward Williams joined David Stükenberg on his set to perform a tune from The Silo Project. The two later joined Everett Thomas for another set featuring some music from the Silo.

The only downfall was David having a bit of a tussle with a certain bands dog. Thanks to Shelly for bandaging him up nicely.

All in all it was a grand weekend. The clip I'm posting this week is a special request from Hayward Williams. A discussion with Hayward and David, we have tons of footage from that night, I'll post more as the weeks go on.

Thanks again to all our new followers from the weekend!

It's Tuesday!

Hello from sunny Wisconsin.. Today's clip is an excerpt from the film of David playing guitar and singing a bit in the silo for the first time. The lighting was low and we had no idea what "music" would sound like inside of a big metal can (silo)..

(world peace) rough mix 1..

Today we have a unmastered rough mix of (world peace) off of the upcoming slio project record for your listening pleasure. We are very happy with the mix so far and would love to hear your feedback good or bad.

We'll also post the lyrics to the song below,

Enjoy

World Peace

Guns kill people like McDonald's made us fat
In an archless world you'd be obese and you'd kill me for saying that
But you would not need a weapon; just the hands of peaceful men
To slit my throat with documents and stab me with a pen...and then

Recycle my corpse, Senator; let my body not pollute
My flesh is biodegradable; my bones can be reused
To build a better planet so organic, safe, and green
It's a sound reform, it's fueled by corn, soylent as it may be

...kazoo....kazoo...da da da....(etc)

My mind's been unacceptable; won't someone wash my brain
Give me welfare for my wellness and soma for my pain
And help me Dr. Huxley; Mr. Orwell stole my faith
He said you'd help me understand and you'd tell me what to say
But I can't say anything they don't already know
Their decisions have been made; the seeds have all been sown
And what will grow so quickly from the soil of this disease
Is the kind of love and harmony that will drive you to your knees

Yes, and you'd best bow humbly; your submission is required
Or the mighty kings of democracy will throw you in the fire
da da's etc...

But it's not bad, Comrade; the healthcare shall be free
Prescribe yourself some tolerance as the flames consume your feet......world peace

Thanks,

Joel and David
